ABOUT
MISSION STATEMENT
At YouthRx, we delve into the intricate web of racial, sexual, and gender disparities that persist within our healthcare system.
Doctors and healthcare professionals are regarded as trustworthy and respectable figures but at the same, it becomes increasingly challenging to open up and place our trust in them when the industry itself becomes tainted by misogyny, racism, and homophobia.
It has become common sense that the healthcare we receive is often influenced by our racial, gender, and even religious identities. Sadly, this leads to unjust disparity in the quality and accessibility of health care.
Our student-led platform 6ftunderadar, aims to advocate and educate the ongoing disparities that continue to plague our healthcare system.

OUR HISTORY
The journey to YouthRx
6ftunderadar
Our organization was previously known as 6ftunderadar, however after constant reflection, we felt that YouthRx aligns directly with our mission to spread awareness on medical disparities!

Hey, I'm Tanish, a blog poster for YouthRx! I love writing about the medical field and hope to pursue a career in this area as well. YouthRx's mission also relates to my personal values, and I believe educating people about disparities in the healthcare industry is really important. Some of my hobbies include drawing, listening to music, and exercising! Through YouthRx, I hope to educate others about healthcare and learn more about unfairness and prejudice in the industry myself.

Researcher
Lindsay
"Hey, I’m Lindsay! A student, an athlete and an absolute sucker for knowledge. I’m currently a senior in Canada passionate about sociology and medicine, especially pediatrics. I hope that being a part of Youth RX, I can raise awareness on improving patient care and overall creating a more equitable society, all while learning new things along the way. We are meant to go to these establishments to feel better, not worse. I believe education will bring us one step closer to a better system."
